Community – Our Murieston

Various groups and events are run daily, weekly and monthly at the following locations. These groups may also advertise additional occasional one-off events. If your group is not listed, please contact us.

Murieston Village Hall

Murieston Village Hall is our local community hall and hosts events by the following regular groups:

Livingston South Community Church (including Coffee and Chat morning)
Simply Play (daily after school childcare)
Girl Guides, Brownies and Rainbows groups
Murieston Parent & Toddlers Group
Murieston Community Development Trust (plan to run events, local volunteering)
Murieston Community Café (volunteer-run, Saturdays 10 am – 12 noon)
Murieston Art Club: Qualified tutor @ approx. £6 per week plus a current annual fee of £20. Lots of paper, paint and brushes available to those with no supplies. Tea/coffee/biscuits provided. Email janetdicksondickson@btinternet.com or just turn up for a trial session for a small charge. Beginners and experienced artists all welcome.

Murieston Community Garden

Murieston West Road, Livingston EH54 9HZ

Between Livingston South Station and Murieston Village Hall, Murieston Community Garden is run by a group of local volunteers. The back garden is used for growing fruit and vegetables and the front garden will be for public use once it has been built. Volunteer sessions are normally on the first Saturday and third Sunday of each month and the Wednesdays following those, 2-4pm, March-November.

Murieston Community Garden is a Co-op local community cause, the only one based in Murieston. Become a member and choose them as your local cause and help while you shop.
