Murieston Village Hall is delighted to host Murieston Robotics Club run by First Step Robotics.
Do you know someone age 7-11 who is curious about how things work? Do they love building, experimenting, and exploring new ideas? Then our new Robotics Club is perfect for them! Develop problem-solving and teamwork skills in a supportive environment.
This is the start of a regular weekly club, running on term-time Saturdays. The first club is for children aged 7-11 but a club for older children is planned for later.
The material will be focused on achieving a defined end goal, a step at a time. Children will learn increasingly complex ways to programming robots using micro-bit, control LED lights and sound, and compete in obstacle course challenges. The eventual aim is to compete as a team in national robotics competitions.
Term-time Saturdays 12:30 – 2:00 pm
Initial 3-week block: 18 Jan, 25 Jan, 1 Feb 2025
Location: Murieston Village Hall, Murieston West Road, Livingston EH54 9HZ
Cost: £22.50 for 3 weeks. Limited spaces available.
